I hope white calves don’t take over.
Nice story
Whales are just magnificent, and I really really can’t bear the thought that they are hunted and killed.

Just for the record…..
All white calves are male, and the colour darkens to normal as they mature.
Southern right populations are estimated to have grown from approx 7,000 (’98) to about 10,000 (’08)
Glad to hear it soutie. Our Orcas seem to maintain the same pod too, ours are not migratory so they can keep an accurate count on individuals.
Ssshh, Soutie. Statistics such as you quote will have the Japanese swarming round to slaughter these beautiful creatures for “scientific research”.
